The Lethbridge International Airshow Association is excited to announce that the Lethbridge International Airshow is coming back on Saturday July 29th and Sunday 30th at the Lethbridge Airport!

This family-friendly feature-packed event will have an incredible display of crowd-pleasing planes, jets, and helicopters, a food truck fair, monster truck rides, a kids’ playland, a market and a tradeshow.

Gates open at 9:00AM!

The weekend is expected to be hot, so we advise bringing sunscreen, hats, and umbrellas.

This event is to continue celebrating the history of the club that was started in 1961 to host drag racing, and to recreate the fun that racing affords. Races were held on air strips in Southern Alberta through the 60’s and 70’s with old school hot rods and golden era Muscle cars. 55 years after our formative roots we are again returning to the airport to burn rubber. We want to invite a diverse group of racers to provide an interesting day for everyone involved.

Back in the day racers raced whatever they could afford and modify, they raced new cars that came with the latest performance features, and they modified to the limits of streetability. We too will have cars prepared on a strict budget, some of the newest muscle cars with all of the modern technology, and the best of what street racing has to offer.

At the end of the day, we hope to have created a fun and entertaining event truly in the spirit of the origins of the club. Apply early if you want to race a car, let us know if you want to volunteer to help us host this event, or come out June 18 to watch and enjoy the racing.
