Departure Delay - YQL to TUS route postponed

Due to supply chain issues and subsequent safety concerns, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the upcoming Flair Airlines route from Lethbridge to Tucson and defer the launch until next season.

"This is disappointing for the City, the Airport and for our partners at Flair," says Jason Elliott, Director of Corporate, Customer and Commercial Services for the City of Lethbridge. "We also recognize that many Lethbridge and area residents were looking forward to enjoying the Arizona sunshine over the winter season and this news will be disappointing and disruptive to many."

To service flights at the Lethbridge Airport, specialized equipment is necessary including a ramp to allow passengers to board an aircraft and support mobility-restricted passengers. Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues impacting the availability of critical equipment, the items were not able to be secured in time to launch operations as planned this year.

Impacted passengers were notified by Flair on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 16 and offered a refund. Anyone with questions about cancelled flights should contact Flair's Customer Support at 1-833-711-2333 or email refunds@flyflair.com.

"Launching a new service is a collaborative effort between the airline and the airport, and Flair Airlines remains committed to the City of Lethbridge and the airport," says Garth Lund, Chief Commercial Officer. Flair Airlines.  "Flair Airlines is looking forward to continuing our partnership with the airport as we move ahead to prepare for service in December 2023."

Many of the changes currently underway at the Lethbridge Airport will continue in preparation for next year and have positioned Lethbridge well for future growth opportunities.
